I found the other article I spoke about yesterday, a mate has in in one of the classic mags, I should have it here in the next day or so.

Chris,

I went through the complete rebuild of my 77 Sport Desmo 3 years ago and had to do quite a lot of changes and machining. The bike now runs fine and did the Motogiro d'Italia last year without problems.

Drop me an e-mail ([email protected]) and I will fill you in on what we had to do.

You dont need an oil cooler even in 40C!

If anyone feels the need to fit an oil cooler, I have one that came off a Mototrans 500 and isn't being used.
I'm based in London , UK.
