I AM REASSEMBLING MY GT FRAME AFTER PAINTING. THE PLATE THAT HOLDS THE FUSE BOX AND RECTIFIER-- DO THE CURVED EDGES FACE
FRONT OR REAR. THIS PLATE IS ATTACHED TO THE BATTERY HOLDER WITH ANOTHER BRACKET. IS THIS THE WAY THEY CAME FROM THE FACTORY ???

Here is a (poor) pic of the set-up on my '74. The regulator and fuse box are both non-Ducati, but the plate they sit on is original.

It is attached to the same welded on tabs as the tool tray attaches to.

My guess is yours isn't stock...

Here's a pic of the orginal set-up, if it helps?:

thanks for the fast reply, I will put them back where they belong, they will be much easier to get to and wont be crowding the battery space.
