new steering head ball bearings

Are the steering bearings, (individual balls), a standard bearing size? Do they have a designation #, like #6, for example? I took my forks off in a non-cluttered workspace, with a sheet underneath the bike, so any of the balls wouldn't bounce, and get lost. This has always worked for me in the past, on other bikes. But this time, I am missing 3 of the balls, This bike had been apart before i got it, so I can only assume that it was put together missing these. Mine appear to be .187". They are all in excellant condition, I scrutinized all of them with a magnifying glass.
