Ceriani fork tool

Post by Sumfun4me »

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the correct tools for removing the 40mm fork plug (the bit on top of the rod Item # 12, P/N 067037510) and the 60 mm ring nut (the bit that retains the lip seal in the tube Item # 24, P/N 067037220). It requires a "C" spanner but I haven't been able to find anything suitable. These are fitted to an '86 750 F1.

If my memory serves I think I used a 70s Honda shock adjusting spanner that I ground the pin tip down to fit the hole. It has become sort of a universal tool,it has worked on steering heads, shocks, and exhaust bits over the years. I swiped it from my brothers CB750 tool kit back about '73 should be millions of them rusting away just about everywhere.
