Marzocchi or Ceriani

Post by Steve SD »

How do you distinguish between the two forks? I have a 78 darmah and I assume it has marzocchi but I want to confirm. I can't seem to find any markings on them though, thanks.

on 38mm ceriani forks, the mounting bolts for the brake calipers pass through the forks and thread into the calipers

Steve,

does the same apply to the 40 mm forks? My '86 F1B has 40mm stanchions, but the caliper mounts are threaded. I was under the impression these were Ceriani forks (Ducati refer to them only as Forcella Italia) - am I wrong? I want to order a pair of F08 calipers from your on-line store, but want to make sure I get the right ones.

Edit: these are fitted with a 6 position ratchet style preload adjuster on the top of each fork leg (numbered 0 to 5).

The forcella Italia forks are ceriani. Since these types are threaded you can order the F08 calipers I stock and they will bolt straight on.
