VIN for Washington State title?

Post by machineroom »

I just brought home a rolling basket case Scrambler ('65 I think) from Oregon that I purchased as on eBay. The frame is missing the identification foil. I have the print out of the auction plus a bill of sale from the seller. Anybody know what steps to take in getting a title here in Washington state (it was listed as untitled in the eBay listing)?

I would recommend going to one of the private title places here in WA with a bill of sale and SMILE. Going to be the easiest way. They will run the VIN, and if you were pleasant enough and it isn't stolen, you may get lucky.

yes, engine number, most singles didn;t have a frame number. The berliners stuck a foil tag on there with a frame number to some of them.
