axle pins?

Post by kracka »

g'yday all,

Im having a few problems with my 81 MHR back wheel.First one i need to sort is the bushs (part no 0797.80.280) that hold the alloy swingarm brackets ,one has a small "lip" on the inside face-not sure which side it came off disc or cush drive side ??.

other problem is,i renewed rear wheel bearings as well as cush drive ones, and now having trouble fitting wheel back in.The small spacer that sits on end of inner wheel spacer at the disc end,is sitting to far inside the caliper hanger bracket.I have gone over all the bearings, made sure they are sitting correctly, all spacers are correct.Been so long since i done wheel cant remember ?? i know its a tight fit,is it just a case of applying leverage to move it A COUPLE OF MM TO FIT??

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS.

don;t force anything..........

You have something NOT correct here. It is tough to know what specifically without seeing.

The 4 jaws on the s/arm, there is 1 that is shorter than the other 3 when placed on a table like an upside down U. Lay a straight edge over them to see which one is the shorter one. That is the one that goes on the inside of the s/arm, brake side.

yup
the 4 alloy sleeves have 2 part numbers-the thinner 1 goes between swingarm and caliper carrier-also as you pointed out the axle sleeves are different-the 1 without the lip also goes on the caliper carrier side
cheers steve
