Hi all,
Where are the frame numbers located on '60s 250/350 bevel singles? I picked up 2 decrepit basket cases yesterday and can't find the #s. When I do find them, is there a list online of #s for year/ID purposes? Thanks!
Bevel Single Frame # location?

That's odd!
Why does it say 'Cucciolo' under my user ID?

Because you're a newbie with a low post count.MotorcycleFool wrote:Why does it say 'Cucciolo' under my user ID?

The singles didn't have frame numbers. They had a foil tag that may or may not have been stuck to the sterring tube at some point but many of them are long gone now.

Thanks! Sounds like I'm going to have trouble positively identifying these 2 lumps.
I have 2 engines - DM250 87118 and DM350 03523 - and 2 frames, one set of sheet metal with jelly-mould tank and rounded fenders, one set with the slab-sided tank and square-cornered fenders. Most of the cycle parts are here, as well. Most electricals are missing. Everything's dismantled, so I don't know which engine went with which style bodywork, etc.
It's all pretty crusty, having been in a pile in some farmer's barn for eons. The engines are both at least partly torn down (250 worse) with the internals rusted tight.
I don't see any possibility of either of these being worth restoration, so was figuring on parting them out on eBay. I was hoping to be able to say with some degree of accuracy what year and model each was. I guess I'll have to read through the Singles sections of some of the Ducati books I have and see if I can come up with any theories.

Assuming the pieces went together at some point...
The 250 goes with the curvy bodywork, the 350 goes with the slabsided stuff.
