Have you considered sandblasted stainless?

they look like chrome- i hate too much chrome on a super sport

Guess what?

My oil filter cover is chromed!!!

I was a bit nervous about getting the gear & brake linkages chromed as well, but couldn't resist...

The idea behind sandblasting the stainless bolt heads is to get rid of the 'bling' effect, and as a way of replicating the cad plate look.

After years of pimping up old Brit bikes I can't get out of the habit of over-restoring, but I wouldn't do anything irreversible ;)

Cheers,

Andy
