Just refitting the centre stand to the frame after a repaint.

There are two nylon bushes located in a square boss which act as buffers when the stand is retracted.

My question is should ther be something on the other end of the boss to prevent metal to metal contact when putting the bike onto the stand. The reason I ask is that without such a buffer the stand seems to over extend slightly and the spring comes to rest on the frame cross member.

A small detail I know!
