Greetings-
I am converting a basket-case '69 Jupiter into a rolling project and am about to have the frame/swingarm de-chromed prior to painting. The bushings are within tolerance (I believe) - movement is BARELY perceptible while holding the piviot pin (measures .001" on one side, less on the other) not noticeable when greased up - I was hoping to leave the bushings in place while having the chrome removed. Does anyone have any experience with the de-chroming process and its effect on bronze? If I have to remove them is there a way of saving (not cutting) them?
Thanks to all
DZ

de chrome.
pretty sure that the process will eat up most softer materials. pop them out - put in some new ones later.... then paint it.
