Power Air Filters

Post by GONDARMAH »

I have a three questións over the power cone air filters. (similar to K&N) for my Darmah (carbs PHF 32)

1- Do they adjust directly to the carb or to plastic trumpet (18mm)?

2- Is it necessary to change the jetting for a correct runing?

3- Will it touch the back filter with the lateral panel?

Hello Gonzalo, The air filters I sell are similar to K&N. You might need to go 1 step on the mains fatter [richer], you might need to go a half step on the needle [raise the needle]. You can go a half step with a thin washer under the needle clip. The rear filter will hit the sidecover most likely but you can attach the rubber tube that is from the carb to the air box, and then attach the filter to that using some plastic tube between - that is what most folks do that want to still run their side panels. The air filters I sell for PHF carbs go directly onto the carb - no need to have anything else. Same with the PHM filters - those also go directly onto the carb.
