Have made the decision to swap my bellmouths for oval K&N's for carby and engine reliablity reasons. Having got the filters, I now see on the rear cylinder I need a bend put in between the carb and the filter to make it fit in the sidecover. I have read on other posts here on this fine forum, some of you have had this same issue and have overcome it by using the original filter bend.
I have two questions about this. 1. It looks as though I'd have to do a bit of a hack job to the original stock rubber bend to make it fit and I dunno if I wanna do that. 2. Once a bend is made up, is it an issue if the back cylinder has a bend, when the front cylinder does not?

Hey Tony,
If I remember well, there's a Laverda 3-cil. rubber bend between the rear carb and the K+N on my Mille.( on second thoughts, it is very well possible I used the stock one, and made it fit....it's almost 23 years ago I build the bike..)
I have no sidecovers, but didn't want to touch the airfilter with my leg.
No drivability issues with this set up.
