it's already become apparent to me i will not be making an original Ducati single.
so why not buy a brand new 28mm Dell Orto carburetor?

....... because this one [30mm] would be so much better, I have em in stock and the price is right...........

but its still a better option then an old one, right?
also i haven't decided weather or not i'm going to run a 250 or 350.
would a 30mm be ok for a 250 monza?

yes it is a better option than the old carb that is used and probably worn... This carb will work great on 250 or 350 yes...

Are there enough of these in use on singles that there's some good info for initial jetting?

I'm interested in one for my 350, but to be honest the black top and float bowl bum me out... call me shallow but them's the facts.

These are set up to work for Ducati singles right out of the box. Of course there are situations where change is needed, but that should only be in the main jet if you are high altitude, or, if for a highly modified race engine, other changes might be required.
