And for now a brief history about this beauty:

Around 1975, I saw this motorcycle for the first time in Brussels (my hometown then). I was 18 years young and had never heard of the name 'Ducati'. It left a very big impression on me and for then on I searched everything I could find about the mark.

Years later I rode a 500 parallel twin and met a guy who told me he had a Ducati too. Some days later he showed it to me and I immediately recognised it as the thumping bike a spotted earlier.

After the inevitable question to contact me if he would sell the bike, we became some kind of friends.

And then another couple of years later came the news: he suffered with backache and offered me to buy the Duke!

Unfortunately I had not enough money, so I asked my elder brother to buy it, which he did.

And now, since he (the brother) doesn't ride motorcycles anymore, it's finally in my garage.

The circle is round! 8)
