Brembo calipers and Marzocchi forks

Post by Slowpoke28787 »

Help! Pulling my hair out on this one.

My basket case 74 Sport came with Marzocchi triples and lowers with unthreaded caliper mounts and the experts said I had Ceriani lowers (because of that thredless detail) on Mar triples. I see a set of 860/900 Marzocchi lowers on Ebay with smooth mounting holes like mine and look identical to what I have. I have a caliper with threads and one without and they look identical with twin bleeders. Are threaded suitable Brembo calipers available as the BH offering seem to be smooth mounting holes. Any and all input welcome!

Brembo stopped supplying threaded F08 calipers years ago... So you have 2 choices..

1: use Time-serts (specifically) in the caliper mount holes so that you can install them in your Ceriani forks on either the 1 non threaded caliper you have

Or buy a new set of calipers and do the Time-serts on both calipers.

Or use through bolts and Nylock nuts to hold them in. You will not be the first guy to do that.
