Can I run tubeless tyres on FPS rims?
I am certain the info is already on the forum, but I have had no luck finding it.
Cheers

Yes, you can, but as the rims were not designed for tubeless, it obviously has to be at your risk. Tubeless wheels have a different profile where the tire bead sits to hold the bead in in the event of a deflation.jpolai01 wrote:Can I run tubeless tyres on FPS rims?
That said, it's a modification that a good number of the Laverda boys (also running FPS wheels) do. Some modify the rim on the inside where the valve seals, others don't.
And I haven't heard of anyone having problems. In fact, a number of people reckon it's safer than running tubes, and it's certainly makes fixing a flat easier.
Your call ...

Thanks Craig,
I'll give it some thought. I live in the bush and ease of changing a flat is a consideration.
Cheers,
John.
