Hi all,
Currently bolting together a GTS from a wheelbarrow full of parts, and wondered if anyone can enlighten me on whether the GTS has a shim or spacer between the Ceriani fork leg and the speedo drive ?? the parts manuals for 860 and 750 seem to indicate not, but the drive does not seem to sit correctly without one. The head section where the cable screws on also doesn't seem to come up even level with the floor. Is this quite normal ?? cant seem to find a detailed photo. I guess it's also possible I have the incorrect speedo drive. What ratio should this have ??
Any help kindly appreciated
Cheers
Rick.

Yes there should always be a spacer between speedo drive and fork leg on all bevel drive twins. Make sure the thin spacer is not cupped and is nice and flat. If its cupped replace it with one of our stainless spacers to account for the fork being deformed - it will hold things correctly still

FYI, the factory parts manuals that I have for the 750 (pale green cover 1974 edition, p46) and 860 (orange, p28) both show a spacer included with the speedo drive.the parts manuals for 860 and 750 seem to indicate not

Thanks for the update Steve.
The manuals on Steve A's site didn't appear to show a spacer, so I appreciate the input.
