Brembo Frt M/C 14mm

Post by Panta600 »

Folks,
I'm after a 14mm rebuild kit for a Brembo front M/C. Are they still available? Is this a non standard piston rod size diameter? I thought it was a 15mm, but that doesn't fit.
Please help!
Cheers,
Steve

They do exist but not as a "ducati" part.
BMW R100s '81+ rear master cylinder is 14mm by Brembo, and as BMW has a repuation for having all parts for all bikes made then you should be able to get a rebuild kit from a BMW dealer.
I got mine from here:
http://www.motobins.co.uk/displayfinal.php?q=23314
It fits and works.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that info, John. I've got a 14mm clutch master hanging around here, and had heard that there was Beemer source for the overhaul kit: but had kinda lost details of what/where/how etc ... ;)

Good!

Btw, I think the Brembo part # is 110.4090.30.

Ciao

John, if you end up ordering that BMW part please email the BREMBO part number so that I can pursue stocking them here as some Ducati used 14mm, and thus far Brembo has told me they are non existant. Thank you.

The kit came through but it doesn't have a brembo part # on it like the 12mm and 15mm kits I have.
It has a BMW Group part # 34 21 1 242 791

I picked up this kit as well

It is for a rear master on an R100

I am 99% certain it will work fine. The only thing different is the surface which meets the lever does not have the plastic pad on it as do the other master kits I've seen.

There is no Brembo logo or number anywhere. Even the red brembo flyer is not present, but it includes the Kluber grease and says Made in Italy right below the BMW GROUP info.
