i am freshing up my 79 900ss. were the front disks painted black or were they raw steel? i cant seem to nail it down with the books i have.

My original factory sales brochure for 1979 shows the disk centres and spokes painted black.

Disc spokes on my 82 SS and 76 GTS are painted black
