rear sprocket ssd

Post by gavin »

i am replacing cush drive and sprockets etc on ssd at moment and rear sprocket has a spacer(running 34 tooth rear)have heard these are fitted to stop chain from tearing up sprocket carrier.my question is should the counter shaft sprocket be spaced the same amount. have found quite a bit of wear on inner surface of front sprocket.any thoughts?

if you are going to move over the rear sprocket, then the front should move over as well.

Why the heck would you want a 36 on the rear of your SSD??

You should in my opinion be running a 16/39 on your ssd for the best ratio, an ditch that spacer
