Anodizing Type II vs. Type III

Post by cafe*racer »

I am having a lot of brake parts (master cylinders, calipers, etc.) being anodized. Any thoughts on Type II vs. Type III? Type III or 'hardcoat' costs a little bit more but is supposed to be much more durable (thicker). I don't think there are any super critical .001 tolerances on these parts. Please let me know if I am all wet here :) Thanks, Jordan

do the thin coating because the thicker coating might/will take up some of the bore inside the calipers and master cylinders which could cause a problem.
