Ballast Resistor replacement.

Hello All,
Wondering if there is any replacement available for the ballast resitors on a set of Darmah coils ?
Thought I had read a blurb some time ago on this forum describing the role/purpose of the resistors but have been unable to locate it. ( Think it may have been posted by Craig or maybe Bill ) not sure.
None the less, the Darmah after a several months respite started breaking down under load at the first ride back. Thought at first maybe just a new set of plugs would cure the problem ! Alas it was not to be !
Having encountered this problem many years ago, I "guessed" it was the same issue. Luckily, I had a spare set back then and was back on the road ASAP. That set has now expired and 'Im back to square one. I temporarily bypassed the resistors and the bike was back to normal.
Anything available or is it time for complete new coil set ??
