Starter solenoid replacement

Post by ordinaryguy »

Greetings,
I have a 88 Paso. I was able to start it bypassing the starter solenoid with a screwdriver. It's been replaced but I guess I have the wiring in the correct place. I've got a few more wires than the original schematic shows.
I do have one large wire from the bat to one side of the solenoid. the command wire to the small connection. BTW I am getting a signal from the starter button. Positive wire to the starter on the other side of the solenoid. Then I have two extra wires. One from the Regulating unit and one from the fuse box. I assume they go to the pos. side of the solenoid but not sure. I may not have the correct battery in the bike and the extra wires will not reach the bat terminal insted.

Let me know if you can help.
Thanks,
Ordinaryguy
