She just died! No lights, nada...

Post by confusa »

Riding today my 860 GT just died. No lights on the dash, nothing. I checked the fuses in the fusebox under the seat and they all looked fine.
I had the headlights on as it was foggy. The bike seems to have a really weak charging system as the turn signals barely work and will not work if the headlight is on.
Any ideas what could have caused the sudden death? Is there another fuse other than what is in the fusebox? Possible for a battery to just die like that?

Well the wires are still attached but no juice. How can I go about checking that the ignition switch is good?

pull the wires out and touch red and grey together..it should light the system up like turning the key on.

there has yet to be a motorcycle line made that is as satisfying to ride, hear and look at as the ducati bevels
