I've just 'rewired' mine as original. I used the existing cables, which are fine, and replaced all the terminals, including the molex pins in the block connectors. They're now all soldered and in new heatshrink.

It's a lot of work, but is fairly original, the only tricky bit being getting the molex pins. I bought mine from Brancato Engineering.
