The CEV 177 headlight is 170mm across; see the photos below. This is the correct hadlight for the 78-80 Supersports and MHR. The rim is stamped CEV and the headlight is bucket is chromed and stamped 04719. The headlights in the photo are from a 79MHR (fairing removed), 79 750SS, and an OEM NOS spare. THe same CEV 177 is on my 78 900SS and another 79 750SS. Note that one photo shows a very similar CEV 168 headlight; I don't think it is original to Super Sports but fits......and is much, much cheaper to buy.

If you thought finding a JOD Duplo was hard, try finding a CEV 177. And if you find one, yawannasellit?

(the little brown things in the headlight are dead spiders)
Are you talkin' to me?

Thank you very much for the detailed report and pictures and the clarification about the 168 as well
I recently managed to buy some NOS Aprilia headlight lens/reflector # 0795.38.275 to suit GT750 at a great price. I thought that he had the 177 lens but he didnt
Did the little spider get through the park light hole.

Thanks again for the great info Martin
