Endurance racer Marchal lights

Post by Aussiess »

OK,
This is for all you out there around the world that may be able to help.
In the late 70's as the NCR was raced in events like Monjuich etc there were lights fitted to the front of the fairings. I have found photos of the mounting brackets and can reproduce those, but can anyone assist with info on IF or WHERE the flat marchal lights may be found (or at least something similar).
Why am i doing this? Well why not eh!
I am sure that somewhere there is the info I seek, so I appreciate any help you all can provide. I am looking for 2 lights and covers.
Regards,
Grant

Grant there are a few Space Frame Laverda owners that have been down this path, its a similar setup, also used in the Laverda V6,have a look at Laverdapedia and maybe ask there, they were hard to get, especially the left dip ones

Vince,
That is spot on. There was some discussion on MSN before the transfer to laverdapedia about this issue and I recall that someone had located some of the correct lights in 2008 that were sitting on a shelf ( this is a guess) in France.

Laverdapedia? I will look for this, understand the left dip issue. I might get away with this if I am lucky and dont do long night miles.
I have contacted my normal Laverda sources Vince and they havent found them either so any help appreciated.
Thats where the mounting arrangement was sorted from!

I found the site, awaiting permission to get active! I called our friends this evening and the duo dont have lights for the spaceframe either so this exercise will be for the NCR replica and the Laverda!

Apparently a package from Cor Dees arrived today and all are excited!

Any help from all others is still appreciated, anyone in UK or Europe help me out please!

Gant,
When you get into Laverdapedia go to Breganze technical and then down to Space Frame lights. There should also be some other threads from the Laverda MSN days stored in the site somewhere as well.

You guys are good to me, thanks for the trails, i will continue the hunt with renewed vigour. I am awaiting acceptance into the Laverdapedia site , they arent as forthcoming as your site Steve!

They are Marchal lights I seek, but thinner than the ebay link style. I wish I had a better part number but will get there.
Again thanks guys
