hey martin
spent a couple of hours looking at my wiring
i originally looked at after market loom-but the price is rediculous, after all its only wire, connectors &heat shrink-cost would be less than$50
anyway i rewired mine in about 1979-since then my son butchered the loom
i have gone through the wiring and simplified it-no crappy fuse box or connectors-therefore i dont think generic loom would fit what i've got

i am going to use 10 different coloured wires and use bullet connectors which i'll cover with heat shrink

bear in mind my thing has no indicators.headlight flash or headlight relay

it seems there may be a need for simple looms at a realistic price

and yes i am an electrician

cheers steve

more info needed on both of those questions
no headlight flash means no function to flash lights by push button
no relay means full headlight current goes through switch, limiting size of lamp-i may install relay to protect nos 1976 switch i just paid a motza for

never said there was anything wrong with it
sure looks an interesting bit of gear
i have made some progress on my wiring
i traced out my existing loom -which i built in about 1980
its basically sound but is in poor condition and has been butchered by my sons mechanic
measured everything up &got the relevant wires
am going to upgrade fuses ,install h/light relay&modern engine stop relay
have also sourced orig handlebar switch-extra wires needed there

cheers steve
