I'm stationed in Italy, and as I will be returning to the US shortly after I return from Afghanistan....I'm looking for a Ducati single to restore. What I'm looking for is some advice - what might be a good model to pick up? While I'm fairly handy when it comes to tools, I've never rebuilt a motorcycle before. I've thought of a 350 or 450 Mark 3 D, and I've seen a 350 Scrambler for sale as well....
I appreciate any help you can give!

Ken,
you should decide what is the use desired of the bike. If you are going to build a racer, any thing you can find would work as you will want to rebuild it from scratch anyway. If you want to restore it, try to find one as complete as possible even if it is ugly. It is easier to restore parts than to track them down if they are missing.
