350 MK3D WTB OEM Muffler, shocks

Post by lewmoto »

I know these are hard to find, but I figure why not take a shot; I need an OEM or good reproduction Silentium muffler and rear shocks for a 350 MK3D. Email me at : [email protected]

Well, on this side of the Pond, Barry Jones has this type of muffler for the MK3:

And Mario Sassi has a couple of different types listed:

For shocks: again, Barry (for example) has springs and re-build kits ... Or do you need to start from scratch?

Ciao

Ian Gowanloch had some genuine Silentiums in that style with MOTO DUCATI on them still in the box. I got one from him about 18 months ago.

Yeh of course, silly me, Kev; Ian would have such a thing (and most like, hundreds of 'em) :-D :-D ?

I arranged to get a genuine Vento tank off Ian. So he says, "Good idea to treat it inside first?" (they're fibreglass, you see). "Yep, ta, do it", says I. Next thing is an e-mail from Ian saying the freakin' sealer flashed off in the tank, almost catching fire and the thing is, as they say round here, foutu.

Agh!

Ciao

Thanks for expanding my limited French vocabulary! And as they say around here..."Bugger!"

Thanks for your help, guys. I emailed Ian, and he doesn't have any of them left. As for the shocks, yes, I'm 'starting from scratch'.
