After doing more research I have found conflicting info on the proper carburetor for a Mach 1. Anybody know if it is in fact the 29D and not the 29A and what the difference between the two is?
Thanks.

Dellorto SS 29

I thought a SSI 29D was diecast.Right side Invertable..designed to be used w/ an attached float... and a SS 29A was sandcast...earlier design 1950's-early 60's...also idle jet is in a different position.

Thanks for the info Bill. Ian Faloon's book says the Mach 1 had a 29A, but everything else I have found (Mik Walker book, service manual, web searches) specifies a 29D So I now believe I should be looking for a Dellorto SSI 29D...
