81 MHR side covers

Post by stephen »

Hi

I am not completely certain on this but searching the internet has lead me to some sites suggesting some years of MHR did not have side covers as original fitment. Perhaps you should check this as you might be changing spec of bike to better or different than orig

best of luck

Mike Hailwood didn't have sidecovers on his racing bike back in 1978 for sure!!
So when I built my Mille based MHR Special, I did NOT fit side covers at all!!
(even the lugs on the frame are removed..!!)

side covers MHR

Of course the 1981 model had side covers ! only the few 1979 and some 1980 MHR's did not have them.
I can offer you some NOS, still in the original plastic !
contact me for my best offer.
I also have many other Ducati bevel V-twin parts new and used. I have bought some major stocks over the last years - firstly for my private collection restoration projects, but also to help others.

Feel free to contact me, I live in Belgium : [email protected]

Happy Christmas and a happy new year to everybody !!
