Roundcase Oil Strainer

Post by Rick F »

Just been quoted huge dollars for new drain plug/oil strainer (if you can call it that!) for roundcase 750 GT.

Gowanlochs had 1, Road & Race had none, waiting on fleabay querie, as the guy in Netherlands only has square case items listed, but the prices are about a quarter

$265 + postage for a strainer/drain plug was a bit unreasonable I thought!
:x

any other ideas??

Thanks
Rick

I know they have gotten stupid expensive but I'm pretty sure Steve has them on this site for less than that!

Parts

Post by Rick F »

Funny, I ordered the oil strainer from Steve & the Dipstick from Sydney (starts with a G)

Both on same day, Bevel Heaven order done on line, for the Sydney part, I spoke to a real person!

Ordered same day, about 20 minutes apart, paid with a credit card for both.

Arrived here in Nth NSW, same day, ;) same postal delivery

One came 700 km's, the other bit came.... how far is California from here??

Thanks Steve! :-D

Oil Strainer

Post by Grover »

Rick, that is the exact reason I spend my hard earned bucks with Phil at Road and Race. I am still waiting 2 years later from "G" for a return email about some parts, I don't think its gunna come!!!!

I think there has been a bit of a problem at "G's" as Ian has taken the business , relocated and recently opened for trade.

You are welcome.

Anything ordered from me from close of business thursday until close of business monday typically ships TUESDAY. Things ordered from close of business monday through close of business thursday typically ships FRIDAY.

I am presently out of stock on the sump screens for roundcases but still have some for squarecases. IIRC they are under a hundred bucks. $265???? Maybe I should start raising my prices

Yes, he is still getting sorted though so expect a little while till things are in order. Lots of stuff to sort & sheds to build to house it all.
