Looking for a 900SS

Post by Eric B »

Hello,

My name is Eric Bahuet. I'm located in South of France (Montpellier City) and I'm looking for a 900SS bevel twin.

My preference is clearly for 1975-78 spoked wheels models but I study all propositions.

Ideally the bike will be located in Europe...

Thanks you for reading and for your help.

Thanks for the link.
The only 900SS bevel twin I found seems to be very expensive. The bike is not original and the apparence for 1000 kms is not very good at all...

Regards.

thanks
had a look-21,000 eur,$43,000 aud-way more than i would part with for an ss with so much non original stuff.i think most of us saw wilsons 79ss-it was perfect and sold for less than this price.
i wouldnt be prepared to pay more than about 20k-if you wanted an original ss-it will cost $$$$$$ to sort out.but if you want a special and like it-why not.thats only my opinion anyway

Thanks for your post. I'm looking for a more original bike as we can see from time to time on this internet site.

The bike doesn't seem to be that far off original for a '78. The frame and fork yolks have the wrong paint, it has a non-standard Verlicchi exhaust which is a good piece - I have one for my '79 and it works well although noisy, the rear mudguard has been shortened, an earlier tailight has been used and the Speedlines have been replaced with sturdier wheels. All in all these are the mods that many owners would consider for safety and appearance reasons.

Perhaps the price is high but who knows these days?
