What a fantastic site!

And I mean it. I came across this site by accident. The amount of information you guys have accumilated is unbelievable. I thought I would add some information as follows:
Although I own and ride a brand new 749s (my absolute pride and joy), I've always hankered after a vintage Ducati. I am absolutely besoted with older motorcycles and in particular Ducati's (and the odd BSA).
For my sins I am an artist and live in London England (very close to The Ace Cafe) and I tend to specialise in motorcycles. I have one or two examples of my art on my site at http://www.steveallenart.co.uk/
Please note, I have nothing to do with my name sake Steve Allen of this site, but hey, I wish I did!! ;)

Hey Stevo!
How about a painting from a red/grey 900 NCR?
And I don't mean the Hailwood Duc, but the NCR before the Hailwood era!

Ducati NCR

Post by Stevo »

Hi Peter,
Do you mean this one http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/Bike%20Dir ... %20NCR.htm
I can paint it, but I would need to research a little more and perhaps even try to find someone that owns one. I could then either ask them to take several photo's from differing angles to send to me or I would take them myself (depending upon where they live).
Would you want an original or a print? The cost would differ considerably. The cost would also depend upon the size. Can you let me know and I will send you a price.
Many thanks for your enquiry Peter.

Steve,
I like a print, but what I realy mean, there are enough paintings from the Hailwood Ducati, and that's of course a good thing, but there are not many from the NCR Beveltwin Racer, in fact, I never saw one!
So maybe if you make a serie, there would be more interrest!

And yes, the link in your post shows a real NCR racer.
A painting with and without the fearing, and perhaps with a half fearing would be great and will atrack more attention I'm sure!

NCR

Peter,
I may well do a series of Ducati paintings and get some limited edition prints done. I'm off to visit Steve Allen in San Fransisco but not till next August 05, so I will take plenty of photo's to paint from. Keep watching my site.

Peter, I am up in the OAKLAND HILLS and that is Mount Diablo in the background. If I shot from the opposite direction then San Francisco would be in the background..........

OK, thanks!
A picture with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background and your Duc would be great as well, two Classic Icons in one shot!
( or is it The Golden Gate in the small picture?)
