I have a super clean & original 1967 Bronco, with less than 750 miles on it. It is super clean and original, and I'd like to keep it that way. The front fender for whatever reason, has lots of rust spots popping through the silver paint.

So, I wonder if anyone has any suggestions and real experience using any product that can effectively kill the rust or at least stop it, and not damage the original lacquer paint on that fender. Please see the photo below.

I would just use an oiled rag.
The oil will stop the rust, and won't attack the paint...

I'd go over it with a combination cutter & polish, then wax over it liberally. You'll be surprised how much of the silver paint look returns and the wax over protects it.
