Indicator cutouts

Evening all, I am rebuilding my 900ss and have decided to fit indicators. ( I know, I Know!) Now the fairing that is on the bike has no indicator cutouts, So what I need to know is what size the cutouts should be.
If any of you fine upstanding gentleman could take the time to have a measure up and let me know, I would be really grateful!
