Applying decals. logos and strips
Hi, I purchased a complete sticker set for a 750 Sport some time ago. How are the tank decals, logo and strips applied? Can they be covered over with a clear coat? Many thanks in advance. Seamus

Seamus, not sure if you are asking what is correct or how to do it? I believe originally they were applied over the paint and that was that. With todays modern clears you should have no problem clearing over the decals if you follow manufacturers instructions carefully.
As far as applying them the best way is to use the water transfer method. You wet/soak the decal and then spray the painted area with very mildly soapy water then put the decal on and carefully peel off the backing. This allows it to be moved around and any air bubbles pushed out before it sticks. When you are happy with it, you are done. The water will dry and it will be permanently adhered.
