MHR fairing paint removal

Post by Trevor »

Does anyone know of the best way to safely remove the paint off the fibreglass fairing on the MHR. The paint on mine has cracked and bubbled, I suspect it has been repainted without removing the previous layer. At this stage I plan to sand the paint off by hand but that is a tedious process.

Why don't you use the tried and trusted method for the early MHRs and just go round a corner at anything approaching a decent corner speed and have the the fairing throw you off; that'll remove the paint, apparently.

MHR fairing paint removal

Hi Geoff, that's what I think happened to the fairing in the past! I actually prefer the bike with no fairing but would like to finish off the job
