Hi!
Has anyone changed the bulbs in the dashboard to LED lamps?
If so can anyone recommend where to buy the lamps?
I want some bulbs that doesn't melt the plastic.
Do you need a resistor if you just change the bulbs and not the socket?
Does anyone know what the socket i s called in the Mille dashboard?
Best regards
Hedton

Yes, Hedton, it has been done (and it's easier to do these days than it used to be). I've had a quick look in my files, but unfortunately I can't find anything up to date with the info you want. If I do, I'll post again.
EDIT
According to Bevelhead Stephen Stepanian, these do the job. And I quote:
"You don't need voltage regulators or resistors for these, like you did the old 5 volt ones in the old "how to" article a few years ago on Ducati Meccanica."

You mean the lower piece of part #34 below? If so, just 'bulb holder', nothing more ...

Yes nr 34 with a resistor for led lamps.

Re: Led lamps in the Dashboard
I have the same in my Mille.
They are more brighter than normal bulbs, and that's excactely what I wanted, because stock bulbs were dim at daylight, hard to see in a glance.
The leds are just fine for daylight driving, maybe to bright for night driving ( which I don't do anyway...).

Did you get it to work in the indicator position too? I have to do some updates to my 1984 MHR 900, maybe add some diodes as the polarity is changing when I do left or right and this does not work with LEDs. Its very strange.

You need a new relay for the indicators such as this... https://www.diodhuset.se/blinkersrela-l ... gL3f_D_BwE

Re: Led lamps in the Dashboard
I don't have indicators on my MHR ( Mike Hailwood didn't have them either.... )
But you need a special led relay, as far as I know.
They are inexpensive to be found at Ebay!
