I have a set in my F1 racebike. It sees 10k often and over the course of a season I've not had any change in clearance to speak of.

because Guy patented the concept, and, he has gone to Ducati in Italy to try to convince the decision makers to use them instead of their crap half rings.... Ducati doesn't want to pay for the technology/rights and, if they DID make the change to this obviously superior solution, they would be admitting there was something bad/wrong with the current half rings they have always used. The half rings crush and can rotate over time which causes a change in the valve clearance, then, you get problems with sealing etc.. The MBP Collets will not deform. Period. So you need to take some time and re-shim each valve when you install them - but from there - forget about them.. Of course you will want to periodically check your valves but you will not see changes and you will not need to change your half rings every 3K miles. Racebikes are going all season with no valve adjustments needed with these installed. I stock kits for bevel singles, bevel twins, pantah, DS1000 motors etc.. They work.

I have them on my Mille and no issues. Shimming hasn't moved in some time.

Steve, what do you mean by "problems with sealing etc" and what about re- shimming the valves?

Thanks, Peter.

I still haven't ordered those collets, but when looking today at the MBP website, it seems that all collets for modern Ducatis are out of stock.
The only available collets are for the old Bevels....howcome..??

About 1,5 months ago, I ordered the collets directly on MBP's website, and payed by Paypal.
Some weeks ago, while I hadn't recieve the collets, I send them an email.
They responded that they were out for the summer...and the collets were in the mail.... :blah:
More than two weeks on, still nothing...
Is MBP a serious bussines you can trust..??
