900 S2 carb setting, front fork springs info req'd please

Post by canterburyman »

S2 up and running. Priority will be PHM 40 carbs. What is the factory jet sizes for this model please. Carb body, slide and cap are fine, think I will full-kit the insides though, 10+ years have left all the small bits gummy. Has two BAP fuel petcocks, both left side !@#$% (one around wrong way), they may have to go.

Are the intake manifold thingies, the black things, a standard size?

New coils coming and will make new cables and get plug caps.

Saw the front fork spring up-grade in Restoration Parts area and think they might improve front. It feels like springs are worn, little diving feeling.

Dont want to touch engine, runs strongly and smoothly, I figure if the fuel, air and spark are smooth the rest can wait till I win Lotto.
