1984 900 S2...or isn't it? Crikey after reading some of the differences between these bikes, am I right.

Frame 092469
Engine 907497

DM 860 S

First registered in Kelson, New Zealand in early 1984. Papers say 1984 Ducati 900 S2.

The frame is black but may have been painted, has red only stripes and logos on sidecovers like red, yellow, orange ones. Pretty straight except fairing missing and front indicators.

Sounds great, new, first time Ducati owner/rider hooked!!

Photos of my 1984? S2

I have and I shall post them in the gallery of BevelHeaven under canterburyman. I have checked out the frame and either they have done a good job of repaint/powdercoat or whatever they do because it looks like it was always black. Most likely Im wrong though I have no idea and very limited knowledge of Ducatis. The more I read in these forums the more interest I have in finding out about my bike. Thanks for your reply

Your best to get yourself a Photobucket account http://s135.photobucket.com
upload them there and just used the Image link, cut and paste the link into your post and presto the picture is displayed

There is a nice one in NZ for sale at the moment for NZ$13.5k

Gowanloch in Australia said they can get fairing made, just takes time. Paid 3000 Aus for it here in NZ. Was that a good buy. Runs sweet as so far, have re-cleaned, oil-changed, and will take it for a good warm in ride tomorrow night.

Have a manual coming and a few bits and pieces. Beautiful bike you posted, can only imagine. Think Id have to spend another 10k to get it to there, easy.

Thanks for your help.
