I had some replicas made the guys that did it had the rigth pattern for the louvre tube and did a good job, B4 that I had a two into one made by a hillbilly outfit and bike wouldnt run right expert said get rid of that and i did and it ran good again. and it sounded sad.

the pistons for my sd900 were a peice of cake to make, all they are is the rigth diameter with a bit of a groove in for the seals. anyone with a lathe
can do it and stainless is what they all use.

everyone thinks they know better than the manufacturer. scene that b4 with pipes going uo to the cams as well . My desmo doctor couldnt see the point as theres already oilways to doing the same thing.

I repaired mine just about all of them those bleed screws can be a problem
no troube for a machine shop milled them out welded them up re machined. taped them out again new bleed screws and anodise yourll never know thats been done

my top gear spit in two and thats the prob with the more than three dog set up I was lucky the bits sat on the kick starter housing and didnt do any damage. brought some three dog gears from v2 did up some others and shaved the rest of the gears down to three dog. No worries since then

the flatslides apparently produce more torque certainly better than b4 on my sd900 never thougth they were too big not so keen on the K@N filters that relaced the airbox. The main problem with my old carbs was the wear
plus I was a boy back then and wanted to go fast.

yip 38 mikuni flatslides on mine goes well the old 32 or what ever they were were worn so thats what i did bout 18 years ago but no more problems in that departmentsince then seems to go good. Pistons and rods are V2 gear there good too
