Can't answer that one, didn't try to buy them. I wanted stainless as it has a far better shine then chrome, IMHO anyway.

I have the stainless ones as well, I slipped them in the lathe between 2 tapered centres and within 5 minutes (true fact) were near perfect. 5 more mins on the buff with some soap and they are definately better then chrome. Pickups

Martin, Ron Yound did my pickups the other week when he re-assembled my gearbox. He modify's the pickup blades as well as they move out and hit the rotor. As you found out, the guy is a genius on these old engines and you won't need to remove an arm or leg to pay him.

Yep, an engineering shop will do it for you, get them to press the bushes in then ream them to suit. Just check your swing arm pin is not worn, you can buy oversized pins if need be.

I dropped 5th gear at about 5000rpm, took out 4th, 3rd, mainshaft, layshaft, main drive gear. Gday all, is there a difference between a Darmah head....58mm inlet studs, and a SS head......58mm studs ie camshaft profile or head markings?
