Problem fixed, thanks a lot, it was the oil cover deformed and out of centre, I just placed a long M10 bolt, two large washers and nut in the cover and fixed it in a vice trying to give it the original shape, and it worked. I added a bit of Loctite gasket seal just to maintain the gasket in place wh...

Thanks a lot wdietz186
I suspected the oil cover was out of center but I tried to rotate it and the oil leak is still in the same position, looking to the back cylinder, I will check the oil cover and the connecting tube too

Very interesting, if you can post a picture of the tool itself, it should be great. I just measure the closing shim clearance over the opening shim, depressing the closing spring and subtracting the fitting feeler gauge value from that with the spring not depressed, but I'm interested to check if th...

Oil leak after oil filter change (900 SSD)

I just changed the oil filter with an UFI 2549500 and placed a new gasket 0759.49.865 , but I got a bad oil leak between the oil filter housing and the oil filter cover, just in the back of the housing. It seems the gasket slips forward at that position, a few times screwing the nut I stopped becaus...

NipponDenso speedometer reset knob for 900 SSD

I'm searching for a reset knob that is missing in my speedometer. I know that Steven sells the one for Smiths speedometer, mounted on 900 SS http://shop.bevelheaven.com/detail.aspx?ID=399 but the NipponDenso one is different, it seems to me it should have a 3 mm left-handed female thread at the end ...

SSD Darmah owner manual

I'd like to know if originally the SSD Darmah was provided with a specific owner manual or the SD Darmah one was given with the bike.
Thanks

Hi Danny, I recently disassembled and rebuilt the forks of a 1953 65 Sport and found the same problem until I realized I had to remove the rubber tampons underneath the upper fork taps ad unscrew the bolts they hidden, after that I was able to dismantle the forks. It may be in the same way in your b...

How to start a cold SSD

I was searching the right way to start from cold my recently acquired 1980 900 SSD. The SD has a choke mechanism near the speedometer that is missing in the SSD. My engine needs some essays before starting from cold and at the moment I don't have any ideas more than try to eliminate air bubbles in t...

Hi, thanks, yes I have a multimeter and I used it just to find a bad contact on the positive pole, between the fuse and the connector, moreover I found a 8 A fuse in the positive pole, the fuse n°2, that should be 25 A, and that fried for this reason, luckily in the garage and not running. Now the p...
