Martin: Don't have the ceterstand (accept the one on my SSD, which I need), but I can offer you either cash, if you let me know what you want, or a excellent condition kick start lever for a 900SS (which of course you don't need on either of your bikes) or I have several LEDs and resistors for the d...

Martin: Forget the light, I got a whole new set, and inserted LEDs into them, so problem solved. I would be interested in the SSD seat (Old style Darmah seat). Let me know what you want for it. By the way, how the hell did you get that load of excess bevel stuff? Did you hit every breaker and yard s...

I have cleaned a darmah and a couple of Laverdas with a product they use to remove corrosion from Aluminum boats: "Nautical Ease". It is a spary on and wash off product. It contains a mild acid, that will etch polished aluminum if left on too long, so you have to be careful. Does a great job on unpo...

I've decided to revive this thread because...well...er.....no one had kicked this hornet's nest in awhile...that, and I wanted to interject some originality since I've never seen an "oil" thread in a motorcycle forum. I have been doing a lot of reading on oils, specifically comparing the qualities o...

For some reason the 860GTs are the Boo Radleys of the Bevel Kingdom; they are related, but its best to keep them locked in a closet and kept from public view. For the most part they are the same bike underneath, so it has to be the styling, which is not as attractive to most as the Sport and Supersp...

If anyone is interested, I had an extra set of lights lying around so I did them up and they are now on US E-bay. Just do a search for Bevel Ducati and they will come up. Also, when you work on the lights, do not try to work on them with the dash in place, the wires are not long enough to do this pr...

replaced all of the lights on my Darmah dash today with LED lights. Used 1 - 3mm 5000cmp clear LED and 1 450ohm resistor per light. Hard part was taking the old light apart. There is an inner white piece that holds a incandescent bulb that is soldered to two bladed terimanls. You must carefully pry ...

Installed the Panta throttle two weeks ago, and balanced the carbs and rode the bike this past weekend. The Panta throttle I got is a twin cable throttle, but unlike the Tomaselli throttle, has a engine "run" and starter button built into the throttle. Unfortunately, the whole unit is plastic and a ...

Couple of thoughts, Steve: 1. I think many Ducatisti would place the single bevels a notch up from the Parallel Twins. 2. I think many would also place the 750 GT and Sport above the 860GT/GTS. 3. Even though the 750Sport is a non desmo model, I think many would place it ahead of the Darmahs. 4. I'm...

OK, I scored a Pantah throttle off of E-bay...this one actually had the switch and starter internals unlike the one that sold last week, and it sold for less, if you can believe that... I suppose the Pantah throttle cables will work, no? (I have the stock PHF carbs rather than the 40 PHMs). Also, re...

OOOPS....my bad. Absolutely the 750GT should be on the list, and I even forgot the 750Sport which is also a glaring omission....that's why they don't put me in charge of these things......

Steve: I think I'm gonna look for a Pantah throttle, as it see it has a twin cable, with the run and starter button, just like the Verlicchi. My 900SS holds "tune" longer than the Darmah ever has, with its twin cable Tomaselli throttle, but the real reason I would switch is so keep my shorts clean, ...

Darmah "Splitter" single throttle cable

Had the [email protected]$%&!t scared out of me this past weekend when the throttle cable snapped on my 1980 DarmahSSD. Every try to get over 4 lanes on a busy SoCal freeway with no power? Exciting business...As you know, this model has the single cable at the throttle, with the splitter running separate cables t...

My ranking: Cucciolo Mariana Diana Mach 3 860GT/GTS Darmah MHR/S2 750SS 900SS 750SS (Greenframe) NCR Mike Hailwood This is a bevel site, so I would exclude the belts and parallel twins. I also think the above approximates the curent market cachet of the various models (though I am conflicted about t...
