New damper knobs are availiable from bevel rubber oz and from holland,the knob and shaft must be locked together or you will lose it, and the rod may drop onto your front wheel, and jam the steering.

Improving 250 lubrication

What mods have been tried? I have the Roll pin mod to the cam and i understand its possible to fit a seal to the crank oil feed , who supplies this? a magnet in the sump would help. Is it possible to clear the crank trap without splitting the cases?Turn the Engine upside down and suck it out!!

Hi, If you spend some time on google Borgo, You will find info on contemporary pattern stuff and Asso is in there,dont know about quality but if you dont rev above say 80 per cent of peak it may do. Second hand borgo with new rings could be better, the pistons wear less than the bore.I have a spare ...

Thats great Andy, keep em coming!!,I have rebuilt a few bikes and there is lots of seemingly trivial stuff that is not in any manuals but can hold you up, Typically " reasembly is the reverse of dismantling"!!! not much use if stripped by others 30 years ago.

I need an advance/ retard from a single, must be a battery/coil type not Mag.The part may be marked AA359, Ithink one from a 250 gt,a250 monza,mach1 or a350 sebring would do..Iam converting a 250 mag bike to 12v and coil.

I noticed that the rubber rocker wipers are missing do they do an important job? can I get some?.how critical are they?perhaps i can make some,any ideas?

Setting up a 250 m3

I dont have the bits to set up a timing disk, for checking is there a measurement before tdc for a 250 on full advance38 deg.For ease of starting I hope to fit a decompressor , which type suits the shim type of rocker? does anyone have any parts?I am in SE ENgland.
