Hey!

I'm in Michigan too. Don't have any brit bikes though. ;) Have fun with the Duc, but be careful, you might find they are addicting.

BTW - The first model year for the 860 was 1975... Not sure when they actually built the first of them though.

How is the rehab going? It's been a while since our last update. We're still thinking about/pulling for you!

Working on the seat now. I think I'm almost ready to have it recovered. http://www.teamyikes.com/160/seat_0772_m.jpg Seat base is the stock one with the corners rounded off. Bought some foam, some glue, then went at it with a carving knife and a belt sander. I had my doubts, gave up on it at one poi...

My 750 GT was in pretty bad condition when I bought it, hadn't run in years. Very dirty, etc etc. The odo said 63,000 miles but the cable had broken so who knows how many miles it really had. I tore it down and sent the crank off to Syds. They pulled it apart and said it was fine. "Looks more like 6...

Welcome! Don't worry about the desmo thing. None of the bikes I have that fit here are desmos either... I think you'll find many (most?) bevels aren't.

Thanks for the comments.

It's not hard to make a good looking '66 Monza.

The first step is to replace all the Monza bits.

Ok, if you surf a lot of Ducati sites you've probably already seen these pics since I think I've put them on any site even remotely involving bikes, but I'm just that happy to FINALLY have the bodywork done on this little project. Aluminum wheel cleaner and a hand held wire brush for the exterior, interior was with a hot tank - basically a huge dishwasher.

Assuming the pieces went together at some point...

The 250 goes with the curvy bodywork, the 350 goes with the slabsided stuff.

Re: That's odd!

Why does it say 'Cucciolo' under my user ID? Because you're a newbie with a low post count. http://www.bevelheaven.com/~BB/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1411 The singles didn't have frame numbers. They had a foil tag that may or may not have been stuck to the sterring tube at some point but many of them a...

I was playing around with stripes on a sample sheet and have decided on red. I dunno, looks more Italian or something? As for the tank... I had it almost done, then went to spray the "last" clearcoat. basically a flow coat. oops. Major runs. I spent two hours fixing it last night and have another ho...

I'm wondering if maybe I should have done the tank in silver and the swoosh in black??? Too late. It's staying this way now. I put off painting the tank for over a year, I'm not going to redo it at this point! The headlight is silver too... I may need to rethink that. Once it gets further along in ...
